Whip Out Your Tool-belt, it’s LSLS13

The Lake Superior Libraries Symposium 2013 call for proposals is out and ready for your submissions.

Calling for proposals

LSLS13 is calling for proposals!

Our theme is “Libraries by Design.” How can we design our services, our space, and our skills to serve our communities and face the future? How can libraries provide explicit attention and take action directed toward patron needs? Successful proposals will showcase effective and innovative practices, and be applicable to many types of libraries.

Proposals are due by Thursday, February 28th; submit them at http://bit.ly/lsls13propose.

December LSLS13 Planning Meeting

The Lake Superior Libraries Symposium will be having a December 11th planning meeting at Thirsty Pagan Brewing in Superior, WI, 4:00PM. Agenda items include: finalizing roles for the Mid-Winter Unsymposium, presentation proposals for the 2013 Symposium, touting Nate Hill as our keynote, and discussion about how awesome December in the Twin Ports is.

All are welcome to contribute, particularly cold cotton-mouthed cynics with candor.
