#LSLS16 Call for Proposals: NOW That’s What I Call Libraries!

The organizers of the Lake Superior Libraries Symposium (LSLS) invite breakout session proposals for our fifth annual conference to be held on May 20, 2016 at the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minnesota.LSLS16

While many conferences have focused on the future of libraries, LSLS is excited to highlight today’s top hits that rockin’ libraries have rolled out. These timeless tracks can help you meet the challenges you’re facing today. This year’s theme, “NOW That’s What I Call Libraries!” celebrates the inspiring, bold, and creative ways libraries are meeting their patrons’ needs.

For more information or to submit a proposal, please view our full Call for Proposals.

Highlighting the Library Pub Quiz

As part of the Thursday evening festivities at LSLS15, we are pleased to announce that we are bringing back Library Trivia at Bowery Bros in downtown Duluth. This year’s contest will take place on Thursday, June 4th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm.  Be prepared for a fresh collection of library themed marginalia and minutia that will test your mastery of pop culture references and library jargon. We have some “amazing” hand crafted trophies and prizes, objects that will become the envy of your office and department!

To celebrate this event and to give everyone a preview of the fun evening we have planned, intrepid librarians have converted the 2013 Trivia contest into a Google Survey! Good luck and happy guessing!
